EXECUTION FACTS: JOE TREVINO 8/18/1999, HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS
THE CRIME: In 1983, Trevino raped and killed an 80-year-old woman while robbing her house.
LAST MEAL: Fried chicken, watermelon, salad dressing with Italian dressing, raw carrots and cucumbers, and a strawberry milk shake.
LAST WORDS: No final statement.
NOTABLES: At the time of this crime, Trevino had been out of prison for four months, on parole for previous vonvictions of auto theft and burglary. Trevino was the fifth Texas inmate to receive lethal injections over a two week period. A sixth man was given a last-minute stay because of arguments that he was mentally ill. Trevino was the 21th Texas execution in 1999, 185rd since 1982. Trevino had claimed that he was only a lookout and driver for the actual murderer, "I was totally blitzed, I didn't rape and kill her...I was just the driver."

THE CRIME: In a 1993 murder-for-hire slaying, Williams gunned down a woman in her kitchen.
LAST MEAL: Williams asked the contents of his last meal not be made public.
LAST WORDS: No final statement.
NOTABLES: Virginia uses lethal injection. Williams was the 10th Virginia execution this year, the 69th since 1976, second only to Texas. Williams received $4000 from the victim's estranged husband. The husband was also tried and, instead of the death penalty, was sentenced to life in prison. Williams is black; the husband is white. To get to the victim's house, Williams rode a bicycle. At the execution, one of the deceased woman's family said she was "amazed at how humane it is, how clinical and how humane it is."

THE CRIME: In 1987, Earhart abducted and killed a 9-year-old girl..
LAST MEAL: Steak, french fries and a vanilla milk shake.

NOTABLES:At the time of his arrest, Earhart weighed 400 pounds. Earhart was the fourth of six Texas inmates slated to receive lethal injections over a two week period. He was the 20th Texas execution in 1999, 184rd since 1982. At the execution, the victim's mother said "It seems to me that these [prisoners] are coddled...They've spent millions of dollars on him. The system sucks."
EXECUTION FACTS: KENNETH DUNN 8/10/1999, HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS
THE CRIME: In 1980, Dunn killed a teller during a bank holdup.
LAST MEAL: Beef fajitas, stir-fry beef, six cinnamon rolls, one pecan pie, one cherry pie, a diet cream soda and three eggs.
LAST WORDS: No final statement.
NOTABLES: Dunn was convicted in November 1980, but his conviction was overturned when a court reporter lost part of the trial transcript. He was tried again, convicted and sentenced to death in 1989. Dunn was the third of six Texas inmates slated to receive lethal injections over a two week period. He was the 19th Texas execution in 1999, 183rd since 1982.
EXECUTION FACTS: VICTOR KENNEDY 8/6/1999, ATMORE, AL
THE CRIME: Raped and murdered an 86-year-old woman who hired him to do odd jobs at her home.

LAST WORDS: Kennedy "expressed sorrow to the family for what he had done and thanked his lawyer for standing by him."
NOTABLES: Kennedy was the second man executed in Alabama in 1999, the 19th since 1983. Alabama uses the electic chair. Kennedy was 19 at the time of the crime. He had a partner in the murder, who is on death row appealing his conviction and sentence.

THE CRIME: In 1987, Boyd sexual assaulted and drowned victim in her own bathtub.
LAST MEAL: NO FINAL MEAL INFORMATION PROVIDED
LAST WORDS: "I want you to know I didn't do this crime. I requested a 30-day stay for a DNA test so you would know who did this crime."
NOTABLES: Boyd was called the "Bathroom Killer." After his capture, Boyd confessed to killing two other Dallas women. Boyd was the second of six Texas inmates slated to receive lethal injections over a two week period. He was the 18th Texas execution in 1999, second in two days.
EXECUTION FACTS: RICKY BLACKMON 8/4/1999, HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS
THE CRIME: While dressed as a ninja, Blackmon slashed his victim with a 3-foot-long sword fashioned from a steel sawmill blade that he had made himself. After the victim's skull and throat were slashed, Blackmon then stabbed him 21 times in the back with a large hunting knife.
LAST MEAL: Blackmon requested NO FINAL MEAL!
LAST WORDS: No final words, but earlier released a statement asking people to view the Web site of a church in Huntsville. "Use this to teach others about what not to do, and pray God receives the glory, not me."
NOTABLES: Blackmon was the first of six Texas inmates slated to receive lethal injections over a two week period. He was the 17th Texas execution in 1999. A girlfriend was also involved in the murder, she received life in prison. His take from the murder, $600 in cash, a small pistol, some jewelry and a pair of cowboy boots.
