LOVE THOSE LINKS!
Enjoy in Moderation!
The first link of the year is a blatant attempt for randlemanland.com to look smarter then they really are. You will never need to go to the library again. Not that that is a good thing.
If you love tv like randlemanland loves tv, then tottle over the the tattle. TV TATTLE that is. With the inside scoop on all the new shows to the latest going-ons in the biz that we so love.
From the site--"Overlawyered.com explores an American legal system that too often turns litigation into a weapon against guilty and innocent alike, erodes individual responsibility, rewards sharp practice, enriches its participants at the public's expense, and resists even modest efforts at reform and accountability." And explores it very well.
It is always a tough call when a TV series should hang it up. No one wants to go too early, but stay too long and you could end up with a Cousin Oliver on your hands (aka, The Brady Bunch). Jump The Shark tries to pinpoint that one moment when your show went to hell in a handbag. The site gets its name from that famous "Happy Days" episode when the Fonz had to ski jump over a tank of sharks. Lots of laughs. Personally, I thought "Happy Days" jumped the shark when they started to center the show on Fonzie. But, that is just my opinion.
In honor of the season. Baseball World looks to be the labor of one man's love. My favorite section is the above linked "Quotes." I could spend all day reading the wise words of Casey Stengel, but then there is a reason I am single. As Cardinal annoucer Mike Shannon would say, "Enjoy with a cold, frosty Busch beer."
Living in Los Angeles means reading the LA Times, which means reading a very poor sports page. A few years ago, there was not a thing you could do about it, but now thanks to sportspages.com I can put the Times sports page to its best use--lining the trash can. Broken down by region or sport, it is a great way to fill your unemployed mornings. For the really sick folks, like Joe Fan, the Daily Link Service is a bargain at $5.95 a month. The DLS brings the best of the day's sports news together in one spot. A few more sites like this and you can cancel the morning paper all together.
The comic schooling of Randleman took place in the late 70s, a time for big comedy. His main influences to varying degrees were Steve Martin, Saturday Night Live, Animal House and that monthly dose of comedy derangement called National Lampoon. You could count on some damn funny stuff (like the story of a girl who woke up with a penis!) and an occasional shot of topless woman. What more could a kid ask for? Though humor on the net is pretty sketchy, hopefully the 'Poon will shine.
If you want to find out the name of the guy in that movie...you know...what's his name? Go to the IMDB. It has it, plus anything else you would want to know about the films. Check out my listing , which in very incomplete, but list me in a PORNO movie! I was in a TV show called "Into the Night" and here they have me in the skin flick of the same name.
Every one knows Randleman has some offbeat interest, aka serial killers, baseball, the mob, the civil war, Nazis, Southern lit, etc. This site covers the serial killers and the mob quite well,
Randlemanland's favorite band. Stop for the tour info, the lastest gossip, or a good banana puddin' recipe.
My favorite site on the Web. I stop by every day and never fail to find something that interests me.
Very addictive.
